Practice Radical Acceptance Poem by John Ackerman

Practice Radical Acceptance

reach out with both hands and embrace the day given heed to pray through the day
embrace the day with a heart of peace given heed to rejoice during your day be free
choose radical acceptance to unleash anything that has been a burden on your heart
think of the ocean how it soothes you mind with each rolling wave to escape from
linger long in the song of your heart to impart a freeing motion in your brain
trip to leave all known sadness with the gladness of the moment free yourself
love to be love in a gentle breeze from the tender hand of a higher power from above

Drain any inhibitions that confront your very being use D.B.T. skills to approach the day
treasure a red rose that was plucked a time before lift your head up higher for all to see
share a tender moment with a song fill your heart with glee learn to appreciate the moment
did you ever feel you wanted to take off and not tell anybody where you are going
think of the little engine that could I think I can I think I can to get over the hill
Each passing day treat as if a precious gift one that you have to treasure as if an exquisite art
bask in the vast expanse between time and space to treat to delagate
transform your mind to think upon the positive facts of life learn to shun the negative

give thanks for everything that you counter with hands up position no resisting
you can learn these skills each and everyday with the furtherance of excelent results
mark the man willing to explore awe so much more
