Pray Poem by ion untaru

Pray

Rating: 5.0

Flickering flame, shy
Shade worship to the icons
My worries stop from race
And closed in a shelter

Tremors and heart as wax
Blessing flow as a gift
Psalms of faith from the altar
Evening light our faces

Purple sacrifice of candle,
Rays cast on the walls
Suffering of so many lives
To make fruitful this desert

God cleanses us from guilty
Humility puts us in knee
The candle burns as a trunk
Knotty, in waves of light

God give me strength to burn
Wickedness of each day
Like the subtle breeze
Crust of sin as a peel

(translated from romanian)
