Pray Once Poem by Jessica Gabanyic

Pray Once

Someone told me to pray,
But no one told me how alone I'd be,
The feeling of emptiness
Wars with my emotions,

They told me to pray
And He will answer your prayers,
But I hear nothing
But the beating of my heart,

Like static from a TV
I feel that no one has heard me,
All the prayers I've done,
Are nothing but the silent noise buzzing in my ears,
There is no better way of expressing
The pain that life has inflicted on me,

Someone told me to pray,
But no one told me the feeling
Of arms wrapping around me,
The feeling of peace,
And Love.
