Prayer Poem by Barry Middleton

Prayer

I do not pray for answers
they are already here
I listen to find them

I do not pray for favors
life is the greatest gift
and life will find a way

I do not pray for peace
peace is too elusive
I search for peace of mind

I do not pray for love
love has a secret path
I strive to be more loving

I only pray for strength
I know that I am weak
I need a helping hand
