Praying To Be Me Poem by Dana Amer

Praying To Be Me

Rating: 5.0

Here i am, looking to the stars
Remembering everything i used to be,
Now i don't know who i was
What happened to the old me.

No, i'm not that girl anymore
I have changed to a worse person,
The more i think about it, it hurts more
I feel i am another someone.

& now a tear on my face passes
Washing away the pain,
Oh god help me to gather my pieces
I pray to be 'me' again.
