Precious Poem by prasanna kumari

Precious

Precious

The time I was flowing through your mind like a river
with unborn love and laughter
with fears and tears

the crimson glow of the horizon
as it glistens my Being in an indefinable way

the darkness hiding my broken pieces among the starry night

I carry daylight on my shoulder
with cheers and dears
the daylight swinging from hopes to disillusionment

the twilight is still with me carrying the sparkling faces of the lovers
fading into the whisper of the moon

colours of the mind in which I dip my pen and write

the music was reluctant to leave me alone as it feared we would go out of tune

I like even a glimpse of the art in which we reflect ourselves

the breeze that sang past me on my way to find meanings

and
I hold on to the moist print of the lips of my grandchild on my cheeks
