Present Coastal Standpoint Poem by james watkin

Present Coastal Standpoint

Lone on headland, sinking at dusk
Of dark cumulus mounted
White cap and the albatross,
And Flinders' ghost ship
All in a short while.

Back along Time's luckier dig
Of an eon's crumbled rock
Yesteryear's towl-lain paddler's
And rare shell's gleam-drip
Sunned tides did compile.
