President Obama, Tar Baby Or Uncle Tom Poem by Luke Easter

A GOP Representative from Colorado, Dough Lamborn,
Has decided to flex his muscles and blow his racist horn,
“Like touching a tar baby” is worse than, “Lie, you lie! '
In a statement he made about President Obama but why?

He argues the president will shoulder much of the blame,
Crap! The economic crisis was here long before he came,
Tar-Baby: doll made of tar and turpentine used to entrap,
Another meaning is a sticky situation but is this a true fact?

If sticky, Republicans & Democrats wouldn’t be far apart,
A resoluant solution would have been easy from the start,
How long will America take 1 step forward,2 steps back?
By allowing elected officials to mount verbal racial attacks.

Well, we will soon observe who is for and who is against,
Re-election time, not everyone can sit idly on the fence,
Maya Angelou’s, “Still I rise” in politics is wearing thin,
Cannot come up with an end solution if you can’t begin.

End of every war or conflict, there is some kind of treaty,
That’s nation against nation, here it’s within that’s greedy,
2 Opposing party’s where both reside in Washington, D.C.,
Some Dems against the Commander in Chief now that’s 3.

Stellar nation that free and suppressed countries used to look,
The fair, honest, highly successful role model as in a guidebook,
But that title is diminishing as governing bodies refuse to agree,
Process has become more like a covert operation of the military.

What message does this behavior send to kids in school?
Maybe it is okay to bend, misuse and break all the rules?
Also, no matter what his stimuls plan was an atom bomb,
Wehther he is President Obama, Tar Baby or Uncle Tom.
