Pressure Poem by Mary Rodriguez

Pressure

The destination of our life doesn't always go as planned
Sometimes it seems we're tested to see how much we can withstand
Scared and alone it's your voice I long to hear
It is what calms me and lessens my fears
Doubts are clouding my mind of what lies ahead
No one notices, I'm hanging on by a thread
Thoughts running through my head are more than I can take
Pressures of life make me feel like I'm going to break
Wishing things could be as they were before
Instead of this nagging pain that I feel to my core
You never know how things in life are going to turn out
Have faith and believe during the times you have doubt
We need to rely on other's and not succumb
Trials and triumphs help shape who we become
Even when our path isn't always clear
Focus on the positive and release your fear
Peace and happiness in life is what we wish to obtain
These aren't easy to get without a certain amount of pain
Each dawn brings about a brand new day
Trust that good things will come along the way
