Prey! Poem by Lady Death

Prey!

Rating: 5.0

The night was dark he stalked his prey.
Running breathlessly to the woods.
Hiding crouched beneath the trees.
The leaves shook violently overhead.
Reaching in her pocket pulling the charm.
To ward off the evil spirits.
The lonely old witch promised.
The trickery of destruction.
Creature of witchery design.
He knew her virgin blood was pure.
Her prayers in vain.
Heaven could not be summoned.
No angels came to aid.
The spell had been cast her charm no good.
Her soul in danger the scream,
Pierced the night wind.
No one could hide as he wrapped
Creature like arms around her neck.
The very life gone causing her to go limp.
Standing with fresh kill in arms.
In the night a bloody feast.
The witch awaited her next victim.
