Priceless Divine Poem by Kishore Asthana

Priceless Divine

Do not bribe your gods with sweets
Bribe them not with future deeds
Ask them nothing for a price
Do not offer sacrifice

You will get what you merit
As per divine debit & credit
Deeds you have done, thoughts thought
Remember your gods cannot be bought
Or else they’d be human, too
Floundering around like me and you

If you want something, by all means pray
The Divine will hear what you say
If it adds light to the day
But if your wish is dark & full of hate
Talking to gods is tempting fate
