Pride Poem by Shqipe Prence

Pride

Pride!

What is it?

A conundrum, a double- edged sword, a meta- representation of the self?
We applaud, applaud and encourage personal excellence, individualism, self reliance, self love, …self…self…self with first prices, titles, golden stars, golden statues, statuettes!
Happy smiles, tilt of head, proud…
Applauses, applauses, applauses!

Too much pride? Hubristic pride! Hubris? Spiritual cancer, the root of all sin!
The key of success: predetermined, the luck of draw!
Where are angels? Pride does change them into devils, into social cheaters, pride, this poisonous worm, coiled around the heart and the soul!

Human pride…, hot water of life…, no spoon! It burns…, burns you, your soul, heart and the mind alive!

Fight with pride, tame, hide, swallow it, work with love, it's growing up!

Better pride by humbly, hard, social work, authentic pride, than divide the spoil with proud!

Humility, the voice of humility is God's music and grace, is the only true wisdom by which we prepare ourselves to accept all challenges in life!

After losses and changes man grows humbler and wiser, learn better and comes nearest to the great!
The crown of virtues, humility is strength, greatness in plain cloths!

Humility and Pride!
Pride or Humility!
Is humility today out of fashion? ? ?

Search your heart pride, and you will find it, you will find the luminosity of soul, the majesty of mind, simplicity of body and humility!

Pride is good!
Sometimes it's so nice to feel good about yourself and sometimes hubris is necessary to get us through! When too much or too little pride? Oh, there's a double- edged sword, a path..ogy on both ends!

Pride clothed with humility? Authentic pride?
