Rhymes Dance Poem by Shqipe Prence

Rhymes Dance

Rhymes, Rhymes, Rhymes,
Rhymes in a poem, a truly dance,
Full of romance;
Rhymes that glide on lines
With ups and downs, all signs:
A step forward, a step downward.
A step to side, quick, quick, quick, toward,
On swing dancing hooked,
A pendulum like-look,
With "rise" and "fall"
In dancing hall
As bodies sway!
Rhyme is love
And love is rhyme,
A conversation between two souls,
Two hearts and two bodies
Close, close, close,
Soft, round, flowing
At the roots of rhyme,
Fallen in love,
Climbed and free,
As it may be,
In a poem.
Sacred dance!
