Prince Of The Spring Poem by Vadakkumpurath Ramesan

Prince Of The Spring

He gazed in haste
At the shower of the monsoon.
His eyes peeped into the downpour
To have the vision of his fiancee
Who may liberate and run to him
From the incarceration of her master!

As the monsoon mollified
His horse neighing is readiness
But to his dismay the snow
Started it fall from the heavens
Ringing the harbinger of winter
With its chillness and giddiness!

He sat in disillusionment
But with folded hands in prayer
To get the winter recede
Not to dance till the last syllable
Of recorded time to reign
That still hover the Alps
With the white cold cloths!

His stead fast love to his fiancee
His burning heart of a lover
That rent the heat and sigh in air
That melt the ice of the winter
That told 'adieu' to the bonfire
But the scorching sun beamed atop!

His sweet dreams sweat
In the summer that hot
The day and dark with no sleep
His horse neigh again and again
To quench unrelenting thirst
Till the autumn's footsteps heard!
As he sprang on the back of his horse,
It rushed through the heap of leaves
the dress of the undressed wilderness
that the autumn did
To see the nature in nude
As the molestation by a ravisher!

His Horse rushed and raced
To the direction of Alps
That stood barrier to banish
His desire to flee with his fiancee.
He urged and lashed the whip.
With agony and anguish
And with repentence to harm
His faithful but faultless horse!

As the prince of France wade
Through the snow of Alps
With the fleeing legs of his ship
'Daniella' awaked from her slumber
With scars of yesterday's whip
That her master mercilessly unleashed.
Her timid tiny heart beat
In deepest desire to have her
Man in armoury to liberate her!

'Danielle' heard in disbelief
The rhythm of the horse steps
She saw as if in a dream
That the prince of France dashes
On the wings of his flying horse
With the sword liberated form the sheath.

'Danielle' wept and wailed in joy
As the prince of France liberated
From the chains of slavary
In the fire spitting sword fight-
With her master by the prince.
As the master lay ground bleeding
The prince of France took his fiancee
'Danielle' on horseback in ecstacy
And rode over the snowy Alps again
To the kingdom of his reign
With his princess in the rain of love!
Then the spring started dancing!
