Prison Life Poem by Arlene J.Hoffman

Prison Life

What does it take to exist
In a world of nothing but fist?
Where one tries to endure.
The things they can't ignore.
Life seems to stand still,
And take away their thrill.
In a world of despair.
Hope isn't anywhere.
For those who share a cell,
This life is "hell"!
Let "God" help them restore,
The world they knew before.
Give them God's hand,
And tell them "God's" plan!
Don't turn them away,
Even though they may stray.
For life is way too short,
To live in a world of this sort.
To let their past fade away,
In hopes of a better day.
