Prisoner Of Heaven Poem by keith brown

Prisoner Of Heaven

There are no walls to hold me in
Nowhere that I can’t stray
No door you close
nor lock you turn
will ever make me stay
You hold me with your gentle arms and
cage this heart of mine
I’m a prisoner of heaven and I'll gladly
serve my time

You tell me it’s the little things
you miss when were apart
Then throw the doors wide open
to captivate my heart
Release me with a tender kiss
and I'll surely walk the line
I’m a prisoner of heaven and I'll gladly
serve my time

Its true that I’ve been sentenced
to life within your arms
I know that I’m a prisoner
to all you’re worldly charms
Here I stand accused of love
yet loves my only crime
I’m a prisoner of heaven and I'll gladly
serve my time
