Prisoners Arise

We all have sinned and walked in shame
Like sheep who’ve gone astray
Heading for hell’s eternal flame
Forever and a day

We’ve all felt guilt from time to time
We’ve all fell Heaven short
Stooping to this or other crime
In fear of being caught

Such fear reveals that God is true
Authority’s standing by
The Father’s eyes have all in view
Until the day we die

Yet wonderful is Heaven’s plan
To open wide its doors
To save the soul of fallen man
From death and Satan’s jaws

Who will resist the devil’s charms?
His luring calls defy
Repent from sin within his arms
And seek God’s Lamb on high

Who’ll seek The Lord of righteousness?
The face of perfect love
Their shameful ways in truth confess?
Through Jesus Christ above

Amazing grace with love He’ll give
Who trust His guiltless blood
Believe He died that they may live
To walk The Way they should

Who’ll put their trust in He who died?
Their faith in Jesus risen?
Who’ll bid His Spirit dwell inside?
And flee the devil’s prison
