Professionals Must Be Good Thinkers Poem by Dr John Celes

The modern world is crazy to the core;
Corruption fills the minds and hearts galore;
Neglected are ethics and conscience;
Man forgets God because of faith in science.

Men suffer from diseases all the more;
Iatrogenic effects are in fore;
Good professionals aren't made from mark-scorers;
The moneyed class becomes top seat-sharers!

The ones with aptitude can't join the right streams;
Deserving youngsters wallop in lost dreams;
Money's the driving need of corporate;
Money becomes the greed of literate.

The world is turning topsy-turvy fast;
Most fields aren't manned by thinkers like in past;
Academics is on the downhill trend;
The friend of learning now is its fiend.

Research pure can be done by thinkers just;
The world sans good professionals bites the dust;
Right minds and hearts should study higher up;
If not, all people drink from bitter cup!

Will planners wake up to our global needs?
We should not plant in soil good, mere bad seeds;
Right persons must get education right;
Just ones with aptitude will make world bright.
