Professionals Poem by Jon Yttri

Professionals

I have a dentist in Washington, DC
Or a little to the south.
Who prevents Tooth, DK in my mouth.
I have a doctor who's in the Army Corps,
I call him General Practitioner.
He lives in New York most every day,
A big apple keeps him away.
I know a pediatrician named Geoff.
Julia Child is his favorite chef.
I have a lawyer in Sioux City,
Whom I see when things aren't pretty.
I have an optometrist who works on me.
He lives in a house by the sea.
I have a psychiatrist I know by name.
Crazy 8's is his favorite card game.
Doctor Leaky is the name of an anthropologist.
Why not a plumber named Mr. Skelton on the list?
