Prohibition Poem by Subhojit Kar

Prohibition

Rating: 4.8

Killing by prohibition- -
First you prohibit him to talk
Then you prohibit him to read
Force him to sit still like a statue,
Even as loaded comments
Sting him like a million bees
And limbs get busy before his eyes
Voices that speak half-truths and utter lies
For he sits alone, immobile, numb
Unspoken words buzz around his ears
A static humming of dreamnotes,
Albeit those of broken ones
As his tongue is tied in clueless knots
His pen moves against the blank page
And he offers one more homage to the void...
