Promise - Poem by Rogerlene Blount

Sup tonight on the fruitful
bounty of my harvest.

Drink deeply the sweet
nectar from my overflowing
cup.

Our hearts delight at
the pleasures two souls can
reap!

Trace my tender petals with
thy fingertips. Awaken my
hidden desires.

My lips press tenderly upon
yours. The taste is sweet and
satisfying.

Lie still now my love whilst
my lullaby soothes you…slows
our thundering heartbeats.

The moon is our guardian.
