THE PROMISE
A promise clothes love in disguise,
while other promises swim in the world of the wise.
Sometimes I commit to the promise of the Divine,
I forget then I'm pushed through another door of mine.
Carefree, then I stand so erect, bold and bright,
suddenly I realise that the promise is erased from my sight.
I'm so ashamed then under my blanket do I creep,
to release myself from the sad tears of weep.
I turn around and notice the promise disappear,
my words are in vain and my heart in fear.
I'm human I some mistakes do make,
but surely I a new promise shall take.
But this time with great zest, honour and amaze,
I will keep the truth with utmost blaze.
