Promises....
They mean a lot to me
You can't just be
Throwing them out there
Like they are meaningless
It's not a silly game.

With promises
Comes honesty
Promises are what the heart seeks
To know you can
actually trust somebody

Don't promise me...
If you're going to let me down
If you're going to disaapoint me

If you do
Then all you are to me is
untrustworthy and unreliable

Don't give me your excuse
Excuses shouldn't stand in the way
I'm tired of being let down...
Ignore my frown!

Please...
Just don't EVER promise me
Cause I promise you this,
I will never believe you again!
