Protect Poem by Shadow in the Night

Protect

I will die, die in pain. Can't hide my tears.

Not in the rain. Rain that falls steadily.

Slowly overcoming, destroying my fears.

The weight on my heart, staying heavily.

Just keeps swinging, doesn't care who he hurts.

Why am I their shield? Forcing me victim.

Maybe I jus tlike the way my danger flirts.

No, it's because then they'd have to face him.

When his heart is loveless, when he's angry.

When your fear and faith parts, your faith runs away.

All your left with is fear. Fear makes you hungry.

Hunger for emotion, cling to faith bond to sway.

I'll try to love them with my everything.

And maybe that way, I will change everything.
