Protect Your Soul
We all have been replaced and we don't even know it
Hugs have been replaced by whatsapp
Kisses have been replaced by Facebook
Togetherness has been replaced by Gmail
The more technology made our lives easy the more lonely it made us.
We are all together yet so distant
Times have changed and we should too
If this is life it is so true.
Mind searches for content
But where do you find it
Entire universe is advertising hoax promises
Everything is commercial my friend
If your success others are happy to pretend
You giggle you mingle
You are ready to wear that mask
But what about your soul
The one shrinking day by day
Feeling lost feeling scared
The person beside you is no more the same
Protect your soul
Cause that's the only thing remaining true
Protect your dreams
Cause they are the only ones loyal
You have been replaced
And you don't even know it
Holding hands have been replaced by holding cell phones
Protect your soul before you are lost
Nowadays if you want to spend time
You must create yourself as an app
Soon that will also happen
Wait and watch
Protect your soul
Cause that is the only thing that can never be replaced
A very realistic portrayal of our life as it has developed under the shadow of latest gadgets and social media. So much artificiality and so much loss of personal touch in relationships. Thanks.
