Proud Poem by Rebecca Dalmaso

It is written on your face it is in your eyes
I have messed up you are not suprised
I try so hard I dont know why
I stay on this ride I continue to cry
I dont mean to hurt you I dont mean to be
So much less than you wanted for me
I want to make you proud I want to stand tall
Everytime I get up I seem to fall
I feel like I have to make your dreams come true
What you want for me I dont want to do
I have done good things but all that you see
You have wasted your time moulding me
You gave me the life that I live today
My apologies if I dont live it your way
So I have not achieved alot for myself
I do not have awards, a family or wealth
I am a good person honest and true
I am not causing pain to anyone but you
If you take a good look im sure you could see
There are worse things that I could be
As long as i try to not let you down
I will feel failure I wear a frown.
