Proud Soldier Poem by Nupur Singh

Proud Soldier

In the realm of conflict, when darkness looms, lay me at home, bid farewell to gloom,
Adorn with medals, my chest worn with pride, reassure my mother, her soldier fought for life,
Tell my father, no need for regret, no burdens remain, on my path I've met,
To my brother, a gift of freedom unwaveringly bestowed, my bike's key, his eternal ode,
Console my sister, a sorrow deep within, assured by twilight's peace, my slumber shall begin,
Assure our nation, tears shall not flow, for I, a soldier, a destined path did sow.
