Proximal To Perseverance Poem by John Sensele

Proximal To Perseverance

Far proximal to progress than to pain
Mind made up, best foot forward
The indomitable saunters in the rain
To brave odds and reap his reward.

Far proximal to providence than to prevarication
Trigger at the ready, knees bent
The indomitable prays for salvation with verve and variation
To plead with God for humility heaven-sent.

Far proximal to perseverance than to pusillanimity
Facts figured out, feet on firm ground
The indomitable invites divinity and unanimity
To pour peace and patience among pesky people all around.

Far proximal to peace than to provocation
Swords of sanity sharpened, swords of sainthood shown
The indomitable responds to a communication convocation
As seeds of satire, somnolence and severance apart get blown.
