Psycho-Dreams Poem by Bill Hammersley

Psycho-Dreams

Night slides in over the setting sun
The warmth of darkness gives comfort to the weary one
And amber mists of dreams invade the waiting mind.

The reverie fulfilled enter a world of fantasy
Where real becomes unreal and life becomes a mystery
And truth is something yet to find.

The secrecy of the inner mind, a silence buried in our heart
Revealed by the deepest sleep and thrust out never to depart
A conciseness who’s memory will not fade.

A dream hidden in the soul so deep it won’t disclose
The unseen desires held so dear and close
Of which the inner beings are really made.

The ego and id emerge from deep inside to embrace
The reality of the thoughts hidden by disgrace
The desires of a wish unplayed.

The psyche has many hidden secrets buried there.
Countless numbers still concealed and unaware
But the dream bares all

very philosophical and poetic, the subtle rhymes add beauty to an otherwise subjectively intellectual message, I really enjoyed this.
