It’s a rugged way of life
But it really has such heart
Out in the calm prairie lands
Gives families a perfect start

Dusty, yes and windy at times
Red dirt roads with a few bumps
But it’s just like life, don’t you think?
We have to travel over the humps

And it turns out resilient people
Gives a person time to meander
Out of the hustle and bustle
Life is so much grander

Raises kids with strong values
Out of a troubled city
If a child never experienced it
I think it’d be such a pity

This is the true meaning of country
The sage with a fresh tangy scent
The color is so very unique
It’s strong and doesn’t relent

Windmills add a wonderful touch
To the delicious country life
Yep, it’s the best way to live
With my kids, dog and my wife!
