Purpose And Reason Poem by Loyd C Taylor Sr

Purpose And Reason

The ants, the artichokes,
Elephants, tiny fleas.
The flowers, the cactus,
Tumbleweeds, lofty trees.

The butterflies, the crawdads,
Buzzards, the morning dove.
The bats, the whip-o-wills,
Eagles soaring above.

The flying, the nesting,
Things bleating, things squawking.
The running, the stopping,
The silence, the talking.

Windy gusts, ocean waves,
The sunshine and the rain.
The sad or delightful,
The pleasant and the pain.

The giving, the taking,
The reaping, and sowing.
The mending, the tearing,
The holding, the throwing.

The daylight, the dark night,
The laughing, the crying.
The wealthy, the outcast,
The living, the dying.

God has a reason for
Everything we see;
Yes, He has a perfect
purpose for you and me.

"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…" Ecclesiastes 3: 1
