Pursuit Of Money Poem by Frank Adie

Pursuit Of Money

I sought it not but find it still,
That which I sought I find not at all,
My cravings as mere desires die,
A poor man's wish is vanity, why?

For you to be poor, do nothing;
Efforts don't always amount to something;
Outside hard work, is there another way?
Life is just a rat race, I must say.

If I should give up and accept this fate,
How would my eulogy read when I am late?
I must keep working to achieve my dream,
Perhaps one day I would in money swim.
