Pushkin's Tears Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Pushkin's Tears

starry night.

at the stars looking
from one to one
Pushkin's tears
increase in eyes.

his heart is taken.

in Beauty revels.

so be the servants
of Beauty.
So be the great.

What a fine tribute to one of the GREAT lyric poets! Pushkin is a kind of symbol of the poet: it's not just his wonderful poems but the fact that his life was a poem in its passion, nobility, visionary purpose, even in his failures. You place him in his native setting - under the stars, seeking answers to his cosmic questions, willing to take in a tragic role. You do justice to Pushkin and the Beauty and greatness of his career.
