Put Yourself In My Place - Poem by Ruby Mae Heard

Put yourself in my place just for a little while
Go on and try it, baby try it, baby try it

See if you can stand the awful hurt i feel inside

And when your just about to go insane
Because it hurts to love in vain
Then you know thats a girl whos been in love

Sitting by the telephone
Being left all alone
Now you know why im feeling bad

So put yourself in my place if only for a day
Go on and try, Come on and try it, Baby try it
