Her Majesty RIP
I shed a tear, as I watched
The funeral of Our Queen
A spectacle like nothing else
That we have ever seen
The footsteps of the military
In time with beating drum
It was as if the world stood still
For us, and everyone β¦
The bagpipes get me every time
As they play their sad lament
Scotland! Please don't leave us now! π
Your involvement's βheaven sent'
The pall bearers played their role
What pressure must they feel?
As they quietly carried Her Majesty
They must have strength of steel π₯΅π₯΅
The funeral service was immense
So impressive that's for sure
The choristers voices rang out loud
We couldn't have asked for more
Especially when the lone piper
Played out β'Sleep, Dearie, Sleep"
The dimming sound as he walks away
(I bet this made you weep! !) π’π₯
Afterwards the Procession made
It's slow march down The Mall
Over 3000 military were involved
Oh, and three Mounties as well!
How proud must Canada have been
As their horses led the way
Countries from the Commonwealth
Were also there today
I don't think there will ever be
A day like this again
She was The Queen to the whole world
"Girl Power! " in a world of men! ππ
