Quest For Freedom Poem by Aravind elango

Quest For Freedom

Rating: 5.0

Bureaucracy wages war with the civilians,
Tyranny watches people lose their breath,
People suppressed in the name of rules.
We hopelessly watch, people dying without any need,
life is turned into a child's play,
leading to the carnage of the gene pool,
showing the gory lurid face of war.
We silently desire for a revolution,
we tirelessly pine for a mutiny,
we rose in a rebellion with agony.
'Every generation needs a new revolution' says Thomas Jefferson.
This is a crusade for equality,
This is a strife for illiberality.
Revolution is a dance of the suppressed,
it is a fight against holocaust.
but, we trample down like a group of cards,
we were cursed to bereavement,
we turned into Martyrs with gratification and dignity.
Quest for equality continues,
while, the discrimination also continues.
History will repeat itself -
with much more bloodshed and agony.
The killing fields of an inferno.
