Question? - Poem by Kenneth I.E. Macleod, M.D.
In the aeons of time
Who are we? What are we? Where are we?
Fragments, specks, atoms?
What should we believe?
In some FORCE, we term "God"?
IN whom, or what earthy representative of HIM
Should we place our TRUST?
BUDDHA, JESUS, MOHAMMED? or
Is all of it
Some FIGMENT of our imagination?
Remember it well--
BELIEF CAN KILL,
And in the Name of God, Allah, The Almighty --
They slay and we may slay our neighbor!
