Questions Poem by Prince ....

Questions

How many times has the darkness come?
How many times have you held it at bay?
How many times has it left you weak and tired?
How many battles must you fight before the dawn will come?

We all fight our battles against the darkness,
wether we fall victim to its control,
becoming a wraith of shadows,
or we fight it to the bitter end,
living a life full of misery
but still in control of our own soul.

But it matters not how many battles we face,
but why we face the darkness anyways.
Do you fight for hope and love?
Do you fight for control and sanity?
Do you fight for an unnamed cause?

And what is the other reason people let it consume them?
Have they no hope?
Have their hearts been broken once too many times?
Or do they simple not care?

How many times has the darkness come?
How many times have you held it at bay?
How many times has it left you weak and tired?
How many battles must you fight before the dawn will come?
