Everything under the sun (locals, near distress)
Watched protests
Listened to riots
Prayed for them,
Or countered with intellect
In the meantime
Rioters and protesters
Passed coy smiles
Proposals made; intentions unreported
Curfew is in effect in Wisconsin
In Texas, victory dances on burnt cars were preempted,
By Hurricane Laura
Search and Rescue
Operations, lie in
Wait
While we wait for news, there's
A fleeting sense
Of being tossed between
Lions' paws
The majority, remotely linked to peril
But the rest, the few, must move
Kittens rush to bat their prey
Lions, wait
