Quiet Poem by Debora Soramaki

Quiet

When it's quiet, you hear noise.
'Quiet, did you hear that?
I think it's the boys.'
Don't even whisper, did you hear?
Mom's talkin to someone and
Dad's opening a beer.
Just listen, no talking.
Hear that, over there,
Somebody's walking.
'Quiet please, what was that? '
' Behind the chair, can you see,
It's just the cat.'
Silence, there's no such thing.
Quiet, can you hear
The mockingbird sing?
When it's quiet
You can hear it all,
In Winter, Spring,
Summer and Fall.
