Quiet Desperation Poem by Kadence Luneman

Quiet Desperation

Quiet desperation
Silent sorrow
Unheard heartbreak.
Empty soul
Echoes of emotions.
Now all poured out
Used up
Tossed aside.
Gum stuck to the bottom of a giant shoe
Known as life.
Still I live
Breathe
Exist.
Hollow shell
What was once a person.
Invisible ballet
From ache to throb
Sting to agony.
Ocean waves care not
For the shipwreck clinging to the cliffs.
Crashing over and over and over
Battered further.
I just cling here
Exist
Take up space
Despondent to life as it carries on.
I can't enough drum up
Enough energy to be indignant.
Lost hope
Given up
No reason to go on.
A long lonely life
Of all the same bullshit.
I can't do it.
Not alone
Can't bear it.
