Quiet Night Poem by Ashley Hale

Quiet Night

Stars as a guide to lead the way
The moon so bright to shine its light
So far to reach with this height
Under them thinking is where I lay
A sight too wonderful not to watch
Quietness is to be found, not even a sound
Trees, grass, and ground all surround
Its like the world has a big latch
An unknown peace can be seen
A unknown story to be told
Thoughts playing out like a scene
Like the world has been left on hold
A dark and peaceful night unfolds a show
Fresh smelling grass after a good mow
The smells of the night air to be found
I am surrounded but i hear no sound
A quiet night, under the stars is where i lay
Until the morning dusk takes my stars away
