Quite Frankly Poem by Samantha Stough

Quite Frankly

This world isn't ours,
Not yours or mine
We can't own the air,
Or buy a piece of time
You don't own me,
And I don't own you
So, we need to stop telling
Each other what to do
This war is not ours-
It's silly bickering that did not have to occur
But it's hard for many to notice that
When the pretenders have us seeing in a blur
This home is not mine...
Not if it's just another thing I hate
I wish I could end it all,
But i guess heaven will have to wait
This can't be real...
I can't believe my eyes...
It's what they all say when they find out
They've unwillingly lived a life of lies
