Forever In Summer Poem by Samantha Stough

Forever In Summer

Rating: 5.0

Something tells me
The summer has just begun
So why is it that I feel
Like it has already gone?

When I feel the sunshine,
I wonder how long it will last
There's not the same freedom
As summers' past

Wandering down the street,
Feeling warmer than I have in forever
The heat is melting my heart,
And for a little while, the ties to troubles are severed

Times that I always wished
Would never reach an end
I want to spend forever in summer
But, I'll just have to pretend
