Racist Hen Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Racist Hen

Racist hen

“I don’t know what happened.”
Said the hen on the eggs:
“Suddenly voice in me told me ‘be a mother.’”

“And the eggs…why reject? ”
Asked the hen with crown, her neighbour.
“Do not know; same feeling.”

Both of them, the crowned, crown-less
Two friends in the farm, concubines
“You cruel, rejected my brown lovely eggs.”
