Radiant Poem by Zeke Herron

Radiant

Once her beauty was radiant
Shining in the way she loved
Hoping that it was all true
This man who promised
A fairy tale promise
Could it all be hers?

That man became blurred
All but gone
As she sat confused
This isn't what she wanted
It wasn't what she asked for
So she searched

Finding the truth
She was confused
The man had not been blurred
Only forgotten
Now he stands broken
Staring at the past

He crawled to the edge
Barely able to get through
Peering into her thoughts
He whispered
The end, my dear
I'd follow you
