Zeke Herron Poems

If only life suited
That of a bird
Feathers light
Weightless in sight
...

How far should I wander
Deep shall I go
Farther farther farther
Twist my heart
...

Flutter, flicker, fly away
One more second
More, please stay
...

Tic toc
Never forgot
Eye that clock
Frikity Nikity Knock
...

Peer into the darkness
Try and face the amiss
Keep those eyelids open
You'll be the one seeing this
...

Drag those feet
It won't slow
That beat
Deep underneath
...

Once her beauty was radiant
Shining in the way she loved
Hoping that it was all true
This man who promised
...

Zeke Herron Biography

As a business major, poetry was always an unattainable skill. My brain just didn't work that way, or so I thought. Over the last year I have really begun to enjoy poetry, both reading and writing. It brings a peace and joy with it to be able to briefly experience someone's point of view through their art. -Zeke)

Weightless

If only life suited
That of a bird
Feathers light
Weightless in sight
The air would move me
Through and through
My arms would feel
Gentle still
Journeying through
The spinning wheel
Fatigue would know
No name of mine
On and on
Through and twine
