Ragdoll Poem by Jennifer Gordon

Ragdoll

I am a rag doll.
Being pulled back and forth.
I am an inanimate object.
Never having any say.
No matter what I do though it will never be the right way.
I am done!
No more.
I refuse.
I will no longer be a rag doll, being torn apart by the likes of yous.
I wish life was easy being a rag doll.
but with twins, so alike, yet unalike, it has become the worst.
I want that witch to come down to my town.
break into my house and make me feel real.
I want to be alive.
But I am an inanimate object, caught between the two.
I am not allowed to do.
I am not allowed to go.
All I am allowed to is to sit here, and look perfectly content.
But I am not. I am here. Caught and stuck. Locked in this shell like box.
Always to remain the rag doll.
