Rain

Tonight let it rain
to wet not just the skin
but to drench the soul
let every droplet trickle down
the layers I've accumulated for so many years
and seep through till it touches the self
let it quench the parched wilderness
that lies beneath the plastic glory
let it celebrate my true existence
tonight let it reassure a sapling of hope...
