Rain Poem by Spotted Dog

Rain

Rating: 5.0

The rain was warm,
soaking through the seams of your old jacket
that I was wearing.

It ran down my face,
mingling with the tears that left tracks to my chin,
I tasted salt.

You called me that morning,
to say you'd drive me in
and avoid the rain.

It fell on me.
